Welcome to Korumburra Primary School
"Our Purpose is to empower each individual to reach
their full potential and become a life long learner"
KPS has proudly served our local community for over 100 years. Our school motto is “Challenge and Achieve” and our key values are Aim High, Be Respectful, Be Resilient and Be Responsible. We pride ourselves on our caring and supportive environment and the experiences we offer to our students. We work closely with families to foster meaningful relationships and our teachers and students work in a safe, orderly and nurturing environment. We are fortunate to have many volunteers regularly supporting our school and we value parents and community members as an essential part of the educational partnership between the families and our dedicated staff.
Here at Korumburra Primary School we have over 320 students with an average of 15 classes running most years. We're lucky enough to provide three specialist teachers offering Physical Education, Performing Arts and Visual Arts. Our school consists of a Principal, Assistant Principal, three Admin Staff, Classroom Teachers, Education Support Staff and currently a Literacy Intervention Teacher, as well as School Chaplain, School Counsellor and Wellbeing Coordinator. We work closely with many of the schools in our network and are constantly striving to improve our practice to better improve the outcomes for our students. We offer Literacy Support, Student Welfare support and ongoing Professional Development via Coaching for our staff to maintain up to date best practice to enhance student outcomes.
We actively welcome feedback from our staff, students and families and our doors are always open. If you would like to visit the school and take a tour please contact us and arrange a time.
We really do feel blessed to work and be a part of this wonderful community. We look forward to seeing you soon.
